Thank you for taking the opportunity to visit the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home and Cremation Service Website. We hope it is educational, informative and helpful. We have recently added a hospitality room that provides a place for the family to gather for refreshments during and after the visitation or funeral service. In addition, we provide a video presentation of family photos that are played during the visitation of our three large TV monitors. Recently we installed video equipment to produce and record the services here in the chapel. Please take a moment to view the new photos we have added to the site. They provide a view of our facilities. As a service to the community, we offer complimentary notary services. We offer the following: 

1. One of the lowest if not the lowest service charges in the area. 
2. We offer uninterrupted electric service during a funeral or visitation. (We have a generator which supplies the electricity). 
3.  We are energy aware and green friendly as our facility uses solar energy which reduces our electric bill by fifty percent. 
4.  We offer the convenience of being very close to the Virginia Veterans Cemetery. (Eliminates travel and costs of it)
